AM approaches are promising technologies for developing artificial bone constructs or scaffolds that are equally as osteogenic as autografts or allografts. Furthermore, there is a strong potential to use medical imaging combined with computer modeling and design to develop artificial bone grafts personalized to an individual patient's particular defect.
